Nathan Slate Joseph has blurred the boundaries between painting and sculpture throughout his prolific artistic career. He was drawn to a vivid color palette in his early paintings. Later he was drawn to simple forms and urban materials when he witched to creating abstract compositions of galvanized steel. His work is about expansion and contraction; making statements of destruction and reconstruction. The works are vibrant in color, cut, bent and welded into shapes and wall reliefs. With home movies from the ‘80s, interviews and archival footage, we get to know the artist in a most unique and personal way.

Lana Jokel has created intimate films about many of the great contemporary artists who have called the east end of Long Island home — Andy Warhol, Larry Rivers, John Chamberlain, April Gornik and Eric Fischl to name a few.
