Taimoor Choudhry
Before moving to Canada, Taimoor Choudhry served as General Manager and Creative Director for Damas, a prominent diamond and jewelry business in Pakistan. For years, Taimoor led a life of glamour and extravagance, rubbing elbows with celebrities and tastemakers as he grew his family empire. His passions and priorities took a dramatic change, however, after touching down in Toronto to pursue film. Surprised and saddened to learn that the animal exploitation he thought he’d left behind in Pakistan was very much present in his new home, Taimoor has dedicated his life and film career to activism and animal rights.
After completing a BA in Economics & International Development at McGill, Taimoor studied film at the NY Film Academy in LA. In 2017, with the express purpose of producing animal rights documentaries, he completed his film degree at Capilano University in Vancouver. Taimoor founded Arise Productions and has dedicated the past five years to making change though cinema and his films.
He is committed to creating a legacy of documentaries and dramatic films to inspire future generations. His film credits include; Falling Into Malum, Ending Real Fur, and The Last Straw.
