Karen Arikian

Karen founded her independent consulting company in 2012, with offices in New York and Germany, to create and execute international media events. Her clients – past and present - include European Film Promotion, European Film Market, British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Toronto International Film Festival Kanopy, among others. She was the US Delegate/East Coast for the Berlin International Film Festival from 2001 – 2019, and a member of the festival’s Competition selection committee from 2013 - 2019. She teaches at the Hamburg Media School and has held workshops for international students at NYU Berlin. Prior to starting her own company, Karen was the Executive Director of the Hamptons International Film Festival, Co-Director of the European Film Market in Berlin, Producer for Time Film (Berlin and New York), Producer for Bruce Weber’s Little Bear Films and Executive Director of the Independent Feature Project. Karen studied documentary film at the Academy of Film and Television in Munich, Germany, and is an active volunteer and contributor to the Chromosome 18 Research Foundation. She is the Artistic Director at Hamptons Doc Fest and a member of the Advisory Board since 2013.
